Their Error on a check I wrote

On May 27 I wrote a check at a Store for $107.07. The cashier ran the check through, gave it back to me along with my receipt. (Automatic check payment - cleared and over.) A few weeks later I was declined at a Walmart. I called Telecheck to find out what was wrong since I had plenty of money in the bank and the check went through at the cashier just fine. I also asked them why they had not cashed the check (as it was still not taken from my account) I've been going through HE_ to get this resolved even though they finally told me it was THEIR ERROR as the scanner read the wrong numbers at the check out. Last week after speaking to the Merchant at the store and they also called telecheck several times to get this taken care of... We still have no results~. I recently got my bank involved as well they are saying that my account at the bank was frozen. And in almost 20 years with this bank they assured me that that never happened. I have their names, badge numbers, have spoke with supervisors, and even though they assured me that this would be resolved in 24 hours, I am still calling them and so is the merchant and every time I call they say they have no notes, They even told the merchant that it was the banks fault. I called my bank and they assured me that They also called them and got no where. Telecheck just tells them that they can't give them any information!!!

My bank has assurred me that they will write any letters needed in my behalf and so has the merchant. HELP!!! I am furious at the unprofessional handling of this. THERE SHOULD BE SOMETHING LEGALLY I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO if even just to help others in the same situation in the future!!!

My bank is giving me a check card today, but I am still furious at all this runaround!!!

Supervisor Gabby, Badge #5575Supervisor May (did not give me badge number - was the person that assured me it would be cleared up in 24 hours on the 18th of June and also spoke with the Merchant several times even though she told me she never spoke with them!!!) Ashley, Abby, Jeremy and others... Should all be noted.

I spoke with my bank just now and I am not the first to have a problem like this according to them. I WOULD LOVE TO speak with an attorney ANYTIME!!!
