Commissioner of Registration Consumer Reporting Services
Consumers Reporting Service Sent me official looking letter saying I'd won millions! Then asked me for a $20 "transfer fee" within 10 days. Looked so real, but thank goodness there's websites like this one for people to check ou

Miscellaneous

I got a very official looking letter from the Commissioners of Registration aka Consumer Reporting Services that claimed I'd won a "guaranteed" $3,276, 450.00 by "independent third part sponsors".in order to receive "Claim Documentation" and "Full Cash Accounting" I needed to send them $20 as a "document transfer fee" within 10 days or forfeit the cash prize. On the back of the letter was more official looking information that (if you read it all) pretty much lets them off the hook for anything you might mistakenly interpret about the wording of your having won a prize.

I've entered some legitimate (?) contests recently, which made this letter all the more official looking, but I had my daughter (who's worked as a banker) look it over. She said it was bogus & could be very dangerous if they got my bank info off my check. She suggested I google this company & that search led me to your website. Sure glad this website exists! $20 may not sound like much, but I'm disabled & living on meager disability payments. I can only imagine how many people have been ripped off by this company just because they didn't read between the lines or have someone to help them decipher the B.S.
