Background Check Scam costs me $99.00

I applied to two jobs on Craigslist for Administrative Assistants. The first time I received a reply from Pam, stating that the job pays $17.00 an hour, but due to abuse by previous employees I had to verify who I was. She said go to "VerifyaJob.com" and once I received my confirmation number email it to her and she will call me for an interview. I did google "VerifyaJob.com" and nothing came up stating it was a bogus company. Unfortunately, this was a scam. The fine print at the bottom of the webpage stating the fee for using the service was in grey letters and I didn't read it. I take responsibility for not reading it, but at the time I thought they were a legitimate company and I wondered why she didn't tell me there was a fee. Now that I know it was a scam that's why she didn't tell me of the $99.00 fee.

The second time I applied for a job on Craigslist again, this time the reply was from a Tricia with same email address as Pam (acr@advancedcreditrepair.net). This time the job was $16.25 an hour and I need to go to "BackgroundCheck" due to previous abuse. I checked the webpage out and this time the fee is $24.95 and it is clearly visible in the body of the page. Just be careful of job postings on Craigslist and if anyone from the above email address sends you a reply for a job and they tell you to go to a site for a background check delete the email it's a SCAM!!!
