Moorpark Store very trying on my patience - $10 off survey

Last Thursday I called my local store to see if they had the fitness equipment by Teeter. I talked to Melissa C. And she mentioned that she didn't have any stock but if I wanted her to she would go ahead and call their nearest store in Woodland Hills and check on their inventory and than she would call be back. She calls me right back and tells me yes they have the Teeter Inversion Table and someone could transfer it to the Moorpark store by Saturday. When it arrives Melissa C. Will call me. Saturday I wait and she calls before lunchtime to say she is sorry but the manager, Jared, forgot to go by the Woodland Hills store but Sunday he would pick up the equipment on my behalf. Sunday Melissa and I talk, I believe I called her around 3pm and she tells me again the manager Jared forgot to go by the other store and pick up the equipment but if I would be patient one more day she asked someone else to bring the Teeter table in with them when they come to work on Monday. Melissa C. Offered to go pick it up for me on her lunch hour but I didn't want to have her forfeit her lunchtime so I agreed to try one more time.
Monday afternoon Melissa C. Calls to say she has my Teeter Inversion Table in her store! She asked another employee, David, to pick up the equipment for me, he had to go out of his way and I am very appreciative.
Definitely Melissa C. Is a treasure-she has great customer service qualities and she really felt bad for me. I will shop again at our Dicks Sporting Goods Store because of Melissa C.-but I don't understand why a store manager completely lacks any upper management skills when it comes to dealing with the public. Jared NEVER called me, NEVER apologized, nor did I ever meet him. I hope no other customer has to go through what I did and maybe this review will generate a positive improvement where needed.
