Online Learning Services Paid Commercial on eBay offering free CD-ROM to learn to sell on eBay

Miscellaneous

This company posted an ad on the very first page of eBay that you get to when you go to eBay. It offered help in learning to sell on eBay, and "for a limited time only" offered a FREE CD-ROM which normally sells for $49.95. I went to the website, did NOT sign up to buy anything, but signed up for the free CD-ROM. It came, and all the links on it were dead. It had a website to go to, http://sellersclubhouse.com, and I went to it but left as soon as I saw that they wanted you to sign up for items that cost money. I did NOT give my credit card # but they somehow got it, and have been billing me for $64.86 monthly since Dec. 2009. I am cancelling the credit card and changing my name on the new one, so that will take care of it. Also, these people called my house in a harrassing manner; one day they called 7 times in a row, 3 minutes apart. I did not answer, because I had told them previously I did not want their products. They billed me anyway. I have contacted eBay about this and they are looking to find who these people are; I also have started disputes of the charges with my credit card company. If you get victimized by these folks, work with eBay and your credit card company, and get identity theft protection from your credit card co.
