Ripoff? Likely, unlikely... But we never got that far...
The website clearly states that after you choose the time you want Jim to call..."jim" will talk to you on the phone to "write the resume together" (Great! I don't want to do it, he's the pro, he'll ask me lots of questions and I won't have to think about it twice 'outside' the hour set aside in the phone call...)
I don't have a resume, Hadn't given it much thought and have been self employed for over 10 years (that's all the good stuff)... I could spend hours etc. Looking at samples, researching the types of things pro style products contain but thought that's what the "phone consultation" was "for"...
His emails to me requested info that I didn't necessarily want in the "targeted resume" anyhow... (and I didn't really want to spend brain power drumming the info up he requested when it had nothing to do with what I was wanting... A targeted resume and cover letter outlining all the experiences of the last 10-12 years... So I asked him a couple of questions along these lines and was told he didn't want to do the work...
Sorry we couldn't do business Jim... My response / question (s) I asked you in my last email, I thought were on the up-and-up... They certainly were not meant with offense in any way... Sorry you may have taken wrong... I seriously thought that's what the "phone call was based on"...

He noted in his final email to me:
"NOTE: Do NOT contact me again. I will not accept any future orders from you, because of this incident."
(A bit harsh there... But I understand...)
Best regards...
