Financed an unaffordable mortgage

Home Funds Direct financed our home and put us in an unaffordable mortgage. We did not count my husbands income due to credit issues. When he lost his job we tried to refinance with my increased income and being told that his unemployment pay couldn't be counted. We cannot refinance and now are in foreclosure.

They have sold our mortgage to Countrywide and Countrywide is required due to a lawsuit to payout settlements, and we get nothing but suffered similar practices of being qualified for a mortgage that we shouldn't have been qualified for.

We were also told time and time again that we could refinance at a later time and lower payments. However we now do not qualify because of income restrictions. Then how in the world did we qualify before.
