After doing a search on the internet I found this site. To my suprise I was amazed at the contents of the postings. It was then that I decided that I must share my experience with others. I purchased a dog from Donna & Buster Gough, Amelia Virginia early last summer. I was given a guarantee which Donna presently has on her web site www.vanitygrovefarm.com covering genetic health problems, specifically HIPS. When I questioned Donna, about the parents, she said she had not done clearances on the parents. I thought that was odd, and expressed my concern. I was reassured, by Donna that her daughter worked for a Veterinarian and there were no problems with either parent. WELL my dog will be a year soon, and is having PROBLEMS already!!! How can you offer a GUARANTEE and not do Health Clearances on the parents which you are breeding. Not only that but breed the poor YOUNG mother dog 2 times in a row, no Veterinarian would tell anyone to do that. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in the purchase I made with Donna and Buster Gough. My friend called Donna in December as she had a new litter posted on her site, he was told the same thing as me about the clearances. The prices have doubled since I bought my dog. Now I have a dog which may need to have surgery and be on medication for the rest of its life. Bad breeder
