The Agency Inc Con/Scam

Our company scheduled a model for a trade show on Feb 18 and the agency (Promo Models) requested payment before service. (Made out to The Agency Inc. They insisted we NOT make it out to Promo Models. That should have been a red flag.) On the day of trade show, the model did not show. My rep Emily "Smith" would not return my emails and the agency's phone number said "This number not accepting messages" all day. Doing more research (I should have done before mailing the check) I discovered that the agencys mailing address is a Box at Mail Boxes Etc. Models on the Internet report that this agency NEVER pays its models. I suspect a fraudulent company, hiding behind a PO Box and a website, which collects money and does not deliver services.
