Home Based Associate Postcard Processing Program
Postcard Processing Program scam artists... Do not fall for their "Join with Confidence" slogan, "proved to be reliable by Better Business Bureau"

Miscellaneous

I wish I had looked up this company before I fell for their scam! Do not fall for them, even though they have a stamp of approval from the Better Business Bureau (supposedly).

My roommate saw their ad in the newspaper & I called the 800 # listed. You leave a message with your name, phone # & address & they send you a letter explaining their company & what you would be doing for them from home. The letter from M. William Palermo, executive director, states that by sending in a $90 check for your one-time enrollment fee, you will be sent 100 pre-paid envelopes, 100 postcards, 100 stamps & a list of potential clients & their addresses.

You are required to write out their clients' addresses, stamp each postcard, write your code on the card & mail them back in the pre-paid envelopes to the company's address in Toms River, New Jersey. They then will pay you $1 for each of the postcards before mailing them out to their pre-qualified clients. You also will have to fill out a 1099 because taxes are not taken out from the $1/postcard you receive.

I could understand the one-time $90 fee because that is their way of guaranteeing you are serious & will send back the package they mailed out to you.

The letter states that when you send back the first 100 mortgage postcards, you can choose to receive 100,500 or 1,000 postcards each week. I was pretty sure I could do 500 a week & it sounded like a great job for me while I was going to school online & staying home with my baby.

They cashed my $90 check and I received a letter stating that they had received my enrollment form & had cashed my check. They stated that my first package of 100 postcards would be mailed out on Feb. 9th by U.S. Priority Mail. It has been 9 days & I have yet to see it.

I called the # listed on the letter (732-606-4450) and a recording states that there is a 10 minute wait due to the number of people interested in their postcard program, who are calling in. The recording gives their website that you can go on to ask questions or email them, but the website (www.thepostcardprogram.com) does not exist. The recording repeats three times & then says "Thank you, goodbye." and hangs up. I tried to call again & the same thing happened.

So there is no way to contact anyone at this "company" and now that I googled them I realize that there are many people who have been scammed by them as well. I usually am pretty skeptical and can tell the difference between a legitimate company & scam artists, but I got screwed this time!
