Everdrive
Does not Honor Warranties Given

Miscellaneous

I bought an Engine from Everdrive 1 and a half years ago. Cost me $1700 with a three year warranty. I figured this is a good deal. Man Was I wrong. The warranty stated to replace the timing belt and waterpump upon receipt of the engine before it is installed. I told my mechanic to do these as it was part of the warranty. A year and a half later the engine goes. My mechanic pulled it apart and found the timing belt tensioner had failed. I called the Everdrive people and they said no problem we will send someone out to look at it. The guy that arrives and other estimators in the area call my mechanic up and tell them they seen the report come over the wire and basically told him in advance that they will not honor any warranty they make. Thats why some of them stopped dealing with the company. They told him that they will find any reason what so ever that they will automatically void the warranty. Another way They do this is by making you do these things such as put on the timing belt and waterpump and say it was done wrong and its your fault. That is why i paid a mechanic at the repair shop not some backyard mechanic to do it so everything is installed to spec. He did this and everything was fine for a whole year and a half. These people must be really brain dead to think that it was done incorrectly if it has lasted a year and a half and then decides to fail. Well basically they called after the guy came out and looked at it and after he mad my mechanic wait two days to come and then came at 5:00 at night and wanted to start the work on the engine to inspect. The car sat for two weeks torn down waiting and the mechanic couldn't wait any longer and got it together to push outside. They fianally call me back the next day and say we are not honoring you warranty beacuse you did not replace the spark plugs water seals and something else. Nothing that had to do with the original warranty information they first sent. They said they couldn't honnor it. I told them what it sdaid on the warranty and she told me that is a standard now. I told her that may have changed in the last year and a half but that was not in my warranty info. How dumb are these people when they ship you the engine the engine comes with no spark plugs. They have to be put in. Bottom line dont buy any parts fom them They will not honor warranties made its that simple and stated by at least three of their own estimators.
