"Wanna be" concert promoter owes my client thousands of dollars

I am a licensed & bonded booking agent based in Los Angeles. I exclusively represent a number of multi-platinum selling internationally know rock acts. I booked one of my clients (who shall be nameless) for two acoustic shows (July 3 & 4 2009) with Larry Dryden / Dryden Entertainment from Hannibal, MO. It was an absolute disaster. Venue changes and all sorts of issues, but the deposit money arrived so I moved forward with it. My client drove hundreds of miles to play these shows. When he showed up Larry Dryden didnt have any of the pick up money. None of it! Nor did he pay for the hotel rooms (as agreed in the contract). Not wanting to disappoint fans who showed up, my client went ahead (against his better judgement) and played the two shows. Larry Drydent made repeated promises and excuses about paying the money.in the end Larry never paid a dime. He swore up and down that he would pay the money rightfully owed as per the contract he willing signed. Then all of a sudden Larry Dryden disappeared disconnecting his cell phone, email and myspace account. After doing some research I found a phone number for his parents house. I reached his mom (a very kind lady) and I explained the situation to her. His mother proceeded to tell me that her son Larry Dryden is a 34 year old man who has no money, no car, no job and lives at home in his parents basement with his wife and her child. The deposit money he sent me for the two shows was paid by mommy and daddy. He actually had his parents put up the deposit money for these shows. He is a pathological liar. There was one incident where he actually called me from his cell phone telling me he was on the way to the bank to wire transfer the money which he later admitted (while under extreme pressure from me) was a total lie. He is not a promoter, a manager or a booking agent. He is a "wanna be" and a criminal. He has no clue what he is doing. I thought after what happen with me he would have crawled back under the rock from which he came from, but obviously he is still out there. See link... It is people like Larry Dryden / Dryden Entertainment that make thing so difficult for legitimate people in the music business. He is a perfect example of these many idiots out there that think they can start a myspace account, make up a company name and think they know what they are doing in the music business. Larry Dryden / Dryden Entertainment (not even a real company) still owes my client thousands of dollars. This caused me a great deal of stress and hurt my client and his family due to the lost income. Please tell me if you had any experiences with this loser and if you know where he is hiding.
