"the giant peach"... Success inspite of him

Today I am 24 years old. I speak three languages fluently, work at one of the most successful advertising agencies in Mexico, have several groups of friends, exercise every day, and have travelled the world.
This is not what you would have pictured my future being like when I was 9, and Mr. Peach was my 5th grade teacher. After all of the bullying and the suffering that I went through, I should have become a drug addict looking for an escape from the world. He allowed bullying in his classroom to reach obscene levels, and was very permissive to the kids in the classroom that he preferred. I still remember it all started because "the richest girl" in my grade got mad at me for not agreeing to do her work for her. As adults, we know how much influence a girl like that can have over her classmates.
