EBay: all-battery lied, bait and switch

A while back I purchased 10 D-cell Tenergy batteries from all-battery.com for a project I was building, but had to set them aside since the project was shelved. Recently, I had a use for them so I took them out and went to charge them, expecting to have a little degradation do to extended storage - probably 10-15% reduced capacity.

When I went to charge them however, I was surprised to find out they were completely bad. No voltage, nothing. They would not take a charge and read 0.0 volts - a bad batch. I went to call the company and explain to them what happened and to purchase a new set, hoping they would help me out with a discount on a new set.

When I spoke to the associate, they first could not even find my original purchase and then finally said they would offer only a 12% discount on my next purchase - whatever. I needed 20 D-cells this time and the associate quoted me some different prices for what they offered. I asked them if they could hold it in the system for me so I could go back and look at what they had on eBay and he said sure. Everything good so far...

Well, I went to purchase a 20 pack of batteries for $89.95 and included a quick note explaining the 12% discount and asked for a revised price. I waited two days and never received a response, so I called the company up and spoke to someone who could not even find the "note" supposedly placed on their system. I was finally able to get a hold of the person I spoke to the other day who suddenly changed his story. He decided that the discount that he promised me was now only good for the website, not eBay - completely different from what I was told before. His "discount" for the 20 D-cell batteries would have been 12% off of $119.95 on all-battery.com, bringing my total to $105.56. That's $15.61 MORE than the regular price of the exact same item on eBay - what a discount, ridiculous!

In short, I was cheated by a lying manager. I had already committed to purchasing the item on eBay so I was stuck, since I did not want a strike against me and I have a 100% rating. They outright LIED to me and I want everyone to know what kind of company they really are.

Do not buy from all-battery.com!
