NCI Inc - Dowty Aerospace ripoff unethical uncaring to employees

Hi, i just wanted to let you in on a company thats not worth working for, and was the worst job i ever had. Im a machinist and tool& die man for over 15 years. I really don't know where to start.

I can say for starters that many people, machinist like myself, warned me not to work there. I got hired on and at first it wasn't bad. Well, they started mistreating people after about 6 months on the job. Promise the moon and no deliver. Write people up left and right for anything they could think of. People starting leaving and they could not get any applicants to work there. Even the temp places couldn't get anyone.

I know some people who work at one temp place. They said that NCI had such a bad rep that their temps refused to work there. So NCI hired laid off employees from mcdonald douglas. They came from all over the country. They didn't stay more than 3 months. Well, now its my turn to tell ya about me. My scrap rate and job performance is excellent. So NCI had no complaint there.

The problem started when my wife had cancer. She had to go in the hospital and i stayed out of work off and on no more than 5 days when this went on. They wrote me up for that. Then later it came time for revue. Thats when they decide on your raise depending on job performance, tardy, laying out, etc. I haven't been late job performance was excellent. They nailed me for the five days and then they said my clothes were not par. My attire had no holes, no profanity and they were clean. I wore what everyone else did. They did not supply uniforms. So i told them that i was not going to wear a three piece suit for them to work in their nasty machine shop full of oil, dirt, and grime.

I have worked at many companies. When i had a loved one that was very sick - im talking life threatening or a death in the family they never held that against me. One company let me off with pay one time. I have never been written up anywhere until i worked for NCI. I used to be in the navy and the navy is nowhere near the SOB's NCI is or strict. So i told NCI to shove it up their @ss. Then i walked out the door and never came back. I don't know what category to put this under. So if its in the wrong cat, sorry. Have a good day.
