When using the self-cleaning part of our top of the line LG stainless steel stove for the first time, it became as hot as an iron on the outside. It got so hot the counters on both sides were extremely hot as well as the contents inside the counters... Pots and pans, cereal boxes, and other food items. A repairman had told us to put a fan on the upper control part when we used the LG stove as they were known for getting hot. We did and it still was so hot it could have caused a fire. We turned it off immediately and it had not finished its cycle yet.

We called LG customer service over and over and over. They kept promising someone would get a hold of us in the next 3-5 business days to have a repairman come. That was months ago.

We got a hold of Home Depot, who has had one of their people on this situation for three weeks now and they are getting nowhere. They have been on hold for hours. No one is getting back to them.

The customer service people at LG told me when I first reported this to stop using my stove and oven... So am I never to use it and they will never get back to me with a solution.
