I too am a single parent and the company that called me made the same claim, they received my information due to my recent bankruptcy and were offering a creidt card without credit checks to help reestablish credit. I am a mortgage banker and thought I knew all the right questions to ask. Is this an actual creidt card, what is the catch, the fees involved, who provides the creidt, asked for a phone listing of where they called me from, would I be able to make purchases outside of a catalog like airline travel, etc.

They said yes to everything and then recorded the call to a supervisor. Well, when I got the card it was exactly what I thought. A scam catalog order that didn't even have a catalog to order from or a website. It cost and additional $200 to be approved, $99 a year to stay a member and I payed $129 just get the card sent to me and now that calling company is out of service. It says you can get cash on demand without fees, this is a lie, it's cash vouchers for merchandise for a catalog that does't exist! I will be calling the BBB on this company and intend to trace the callers who offered this to me
