XPmedic Double trouble

Yes. I read a helpful web page that recommended both these companies. I was conned into thinking it all looks very professional and helpful, especially when it identifies Windows XP, which I wanted to repair and scan for errors on my PC. I paid, through Pay Pal, 28.63 5.01 Tax and I waited for my code. Isent 4 e mails to the support@xpmedic.com enquiring what my code was so I could repair all the faults the screen advised me were in need of doing.
I queried to them that I paid for XP medic, but the pop up came from 'Registry Patrol', and asked why was this... I heard nothing.
Alarm bells rang and I have come across this web site which now tells me that I am not the only unfortunate one this scumbag lot has conned.
I have contacted Pay Pal, and they have advised me they will do everything to help me get back my money. I am to wait 7 days and call them again.
Why can't we get these fraudulent websites that are taking us for fools off the internet?
The trouble is other web sites are recommending them without checking that they are genuine which is wrong. It is a minefield for the consumer.
