I used to be a customer with Wells Fargo. However, after banking with them for about 20 years my husband and I recently closed all our accounts with them and moved some where else. For 2 years, I have been calling wells Fargo credit card services trying to get them to lower our interest rate on our credit card so we can pay it off. We have a 20% interest rate which is making it very difficult to pay it down. I keep asking them to help me but I get the same old answer for 2 years now. They always tell me that I don't qualify because of my credit score. I keep trying to expalin to them that my credit score should have nothing to do with my relationship between myself and Wells Fargo. They have automatic withdrawal from my account to pay the bill every month. I have always been on time and they have never had to chase me down for a payment in 4 years. So I filed a complaint with the BBB and got this result. "I'm sorry, again, but we can't help you at the present time." What they want to do is to make me pay more every month to pay down the balance faster. That's NOT what I was asking for. I have paid over $900.00 in interest to these people just this past year alone. You would think after being a bank customer for 20 years and paying so much money in interest they would be happy to help out one of their customers. (ex-customer) But OH NO!!! NOT Wells Fargo. This bank seems to care less about their customers. But when they needed help from the government from messing up their finances, they received 25 billion dollars in bailout money. And these are supposed to be professional finance people and yet look how much they screwed up!!! In the tune of 25 billion dollars. And then when one of their former customers ask for help they just kick you in the back side. I filed the report with the Executive Offices and got my response back from Janelle Baker. I hope one day when Miss Janelle runs in to fianancial problems the same mercy will be shown to her. And the CEO John G. Stumpf also deserves the same mercy. I don't know how these people can sleep at night knowing how much they rip off people. But everything bad that they are doing to their customers WILL catch up to them. PLEASE do not bank with Wells Fargo because they simply DO NOT care about their customers. On usacomplaints.com there are 398 compalints filed against them. That is alot for a company!!!
