Darrell hall my experience with 5-g

I have seen the first report on this company and can honestly say that I do not agree with it. The homes here are simple, basic starter homes. I knew what I was getting into for the most part but there were a few things that I feel that I was ripped off.

The houses here are not well built and not fancy, but... When their website says that the exterior walls will have insulation you would think that they would install it, all homes should have this... Well they do not install it. I guess if you have the time to watch them constantly you would have a much better chance of getting it done. THIS is one of my major problems with the house and its happened to other homeowners.

They deviate from the drawings they give you... Entrance ways to the hall way change... Double vanities turn into singles which doesn't really matter because you will end up changing them out because of quality issues.

This is where I disagree with other reports... Buyers such as myself buy these homes because of our poor credit and lack of a large down payment and it is a big risk on the part of the builder to finance these mortgages. I have seen many homes foreclosed on and very few people take pride in home ownership and take care of their homes, it seems that they still think they are renting and will rag their house out until they move out.

The interest rate is really high and it was changed at the last minute from 10 to 10.25 and your entire payment is applied to interest first, you do not earn equity unless you pay above the minimum payment... They tell you this upfront so you know what your getting into.

As for the water issue, Ive never had a problem, good water pressure and clean water so far.

As for the land ownership, the person who made accusations should be more careful as they can be sued. We all pay taxes, you can easily check this out through a deed title company.

I have made improvements and will continue to, as this is our home and I take pride in that fact regardless of the the circumstances. Have lemons make lemonade...
