Aurora Loan Services-Loan Modification-A Never Ending Nightmare

Our loan was sold to Aurora Loan Services before our first payment was due approx four years ago. For the past 18 months we have attempted to modify our loan only to be misled, mistreated, and lied to in lieu of providing them in good faith with all of the documents requested. After no resolution, we retained an Attorney in an attempt to help us with the process. To date, we are still getting the run-around. They continue to add various fees to the loan, request that you make payments in excess of your original contract for three months, and after that, they will consider you for modification. After the three months, you are informed that you would not have qualified in the first place and that if you could have, it takes at least 120 days to review your docs by an underwriter and another 120 days after that before you will get an answer.in the meantime, they want you to continue to make the larger payments. When you call their customer service center you are given different and misleading information with no explanation. They are a nightmare to work with, and something needs to be done. How many more consumers have to lose their homes before their business practices are investigated. I don't know how they sleep at night when so many consumers have made a good faith effort to try and work with them. Are they intentionally misleading consumers with the explicit knowledge that there will not be a favorable outcome and we will lose our homes? Shame on them!!!
