First thing, anyone that is in thier mid twenties, or just graduating and out in the hunt for the best job needs to beware. Like so many of the entries I read last night, I feel a victim to Cydcor.

I went to my interviews believing I was about to take a job in marketing. This is something I have always wanted to do, and I was so excited to have this opportunity. I told my family about the job, and about 5 Point Marketing, a subsidary of Cydcor. Because I was told that I could be managin my own office in under 10 months, my family and friends wanted to see if possibly they could get in to the company also.

The one thing is, my family researches things. They wanted to check out the website and see what the deal was. Like so many others who tried, they also could not find a web site. When I asked, I was told to go to cydcor.com. They ahve a web site. The things was, my best friend, wanted to know how the two were affiliated, and so we e-mailed cydcor to ask them abou their affiliation with 5 Point Marketing in Falls Church VA. She recieved and e-mail back saying that they had never heard of this company and there was no affiliation.

I had already gone on my first day when she recieved this e-mail. When I got home, she showed it to me and we decided that we needed to find more information about Cydcor. Using a basic Google Search, we were both amazed and alarmed. Just reading about others experiences, amde me know that I had a guardian angel. I called the manager to say I was not returning because of what I had read, and never recieved a call back.

If there is one thing I learned, it is that never under estimate hard work and dedication. I have also learned that my generation is being payed with and taken advantage of by greedy, companies. We are and educated group, and we do want success. I know i will be successful, and I do know that I made the right decision by leaving 5 Point Marketing after my first day.

I hope that others are sharp and do thier homework, because no one shoud have to waste time with this comany or any of it's affiliates. Go and get that job on your own, take satisfaction in knowing that your newompan (there will be one), plays by the roles of corporate America. There are no quick ways to get rich, unless you play to lottery. Just work hard, and do your best, and things will be successful in your career life.
