Defective replacement battery

I purchased replacement battery vtech 89-1326-00-00and after installing it i let it charge for at least 24 hrs. It worked for 3 to 4 days and then went totally dead!!! I tried to recharge it several times later and the phone would not keep the charge. For the last three weeks i have been trying to get in touch with the company but, the e-mail will not go through and there is no phone number to complain to... Help!!!
