Lost packages

I recently had 2 very important packages "delivered" to me via priority. One package was stolen without any idiot from the post office knowing where it ended up. They claim the top of the box fell off when it is a clear case of someone cutting the top of the box off with a razor. The second package I had delivered priority never makes it to my house and after repeated efforts of talking to some of the dumbest people working for the govt. It ends up at the senders house. My question is. Why are there tracking numbers if these morons at the post office cannot tell me exactly where my packages are???
