MoneyGram will charge you about $120 for the transfer. We expect you to bargain with the operator concerning the charges to see if it can be reduced or not. After all deductions you are expected to transfer about $3,480. I'm glad I looked up this information before cashing it. I went on the web site where the check was from and looked up their instructions for cashier's checks. It said If a check is sent from a different state than where the check is from it is most likely a fake. Check's can only be purchased at the bank in the state where they are from. The Check was from West Jordan, Utah but it was sent from New York.
