Overcharge for medication

My mother uses CVS. Her physician published her a prescription for lets say 50 mg in the place of 25-mg and informed my mother to reduce them in two to save lots of her some cash as she's on the fixed-income and also the medication is costly. The drugstore charged her increase since my mother was splitting them in two according to the directions about the container. Is not this illegal??? I wonder exactly what the pharmacist might do when they visited a cafe and requested meals and required 1 / 2 of it house for that following day plus they got billed dual??? Hmmmm food for thought. Each time my mother would go to CVS it's a round. It's usually something. The pharmacists and technicians are usually b*tchy. No other method to set it. I'll never use CVS Pharmacy
