Arrest threatened

I was contacted by phone at work by a man stating that he was Officer David Johnson. He had my SS# and read it aloud to me and wanted me to verify that this was my SS# and I refused. He informed me that the line was being recorded by state/local authorities and the FBI. He read me my rights and said that I had committed fraud and would be arrested if I did not pay the debt immediately. On questioning this man as to who he was calling on behalf of, he stated Cashnet USA. I told him at this point that I knew he was nothing but a bill collector and was not a Police Officer and that he was going to be in big trouble for misrepresenting himself as such and told him to never call me again. I do admit that I have a very old debt with Cashnet USA and I did contact them afterward by phone and they stated that my account was sold to another company that goes by DMP however they were aware that some people were getting phone calls like this but it did not stem from them and I would have to report this to there compliance department which I did via there voicemail and have yet to here from them. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB, Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commision as well as filed a report with the local authorities. This was a clear violation of the FDCPA yet I had contacted a Consumer Attorney and they stated that since these people are probably calling from overseas that it would be too much of an expense to do anything about it. So what do you do? Someone please tell me. I think that Cashnet USA is fully aware of what is happening to there customers and are aloud to get away with it time and time again and something needs to be done about it. If they are in clear violation of my rights there has got to be some sort of recourse for this even though I have not found it other than what I stated above. Help would be appreciated.
