Cherry Hill Beauty Supply
Sells wigs from displays for same price as newly unpackaged wigs Sells displayed floor wigs for same price as new packaged wigs

Miscellaneous

This store sells beauty supplies and wigs. They display several wigs, which is necessary to catch the eye of the customer. However, the display wigs are kept on wig stands. These wigs are frequently handled and often tried on my customers.

The store think its OK because they request that each person purchase a wig liner before trying on the wigs. Mean while these wigs are touched, handled and tried on by other customers. These wigs lose their gloss and fresh look.

They look old, worn and haggard. Most stores will only sell display items with at least a 10% - 20% discount. I consider this an environmental violation. The wigs not only touch your head, they unavoidably touch your face. Persons with immunodeficiency (such as Cancer/chemotherapy) are at great risk, and would have to purchase wig cleaning solutions before wearing display wigs. They tell you it is the last wig, but when I returned 2 days later a new wig of the same style and color was in its place.

People are walking by coughing, sneezing, and hands are not always clean. I would definetly purchase wig cleaning cleansers and sprays to help restore the beauty of the displayed wig and kill germs. The 10% -20% would compensate for the additional items to restore the wig.

Plan is to also report them to Attorney General Mike Cox of The Consumers Protection Division in Lansing, Michigan
