Miscellaneous

In June I was recruited with CSI (now, cleverly changed their name toPSI) for a work-from-home regional sales recruiter role. I had spent$249 for a background check (which the employer usually does - but theysaid I was going to own my own business, so I had to invest in it!) plus forced into subscribing to their 2 products (PPL &IDT) withtheir explanation being, in short, 'how can u sell an idea to acandidate when u don't believe in it urself to actually own it' &'all of us do it'.. Later on, I found that if I needed b'ness cards, leaflets, brochures, CDs, etc. I had to 'buy' them plus whenever Idrove to career fairs to represent & get candidates for them, I hadto pitch in with the stall/banner costs which was like $200-300. Worstof all, I was told not to tell the candidates at 1st instance that theywould not get a basic salary, but just commissions. I had to try toevade the question & get them log on to a webinar. I had to concealthe fact that like me, they too would have to pay for the training, background check, sales material, etc. I thought this was unfair nunethical so I quit in my 1st month itself. When I called customerservice they said I wd get a form to fill and post back requesting themembership cancellations, which I did - got my account temporarilyon-hold on the phone until they got my fax, email & posted mail ofthe form. I was told to post back the entire intro-kit / start-up kit tothem by 29th July, noon to get my $249 background check fee refunded (something better than nothing).. This was on 25th, so they gave mejust 4days!!! Yet I priority mailed it (Costed me $37) and got a USPSproof-of-delivery signed by the recipient at 9am on 29th July - I wason time! After that, I didn't hear from them until a month passed andI got an email saying I have to make my will through them which meantmy accounts were still active! So, I called them - they said theynever received my fax/letter / email - and she said in an arrogantmanner - just because your fax machine said 'delivered' or the emailgoes into ur 'sent items' or the post doesn't get returned to u, doesn't mean we got your forms! I MEAN - What the hell is one to dothen??? So I had to do the whole thing again - she sent the form, which I faxed, emailed, posted out again along with proof of myprevious trial. I even made copies of my correspondences and sent itwith a written complaint to their Customer service & MarketingManager - no word from them in over 2 weeks now! I email them everydayasking them to revert saying they got my email or they recd my fax orsomething! I try to call but 1st I am on hold for 8-17 minutes (!!!) then when I get to extn 2 - it just goes busy. When I try anotherextension they say - try extn 2, even though I can expect to get itbusy as theyre 'expanding' or have 'some great offers now' which is whytheir line is always busy - YEAH RIGHT!!! I contacted my recruiter -guess what - She too had quit! What a SCAM!

I have lost my peace, patience & mind with this company and I amputting my story here so that others can be warned! Do NOT waste yourtime with them. Note, they can change their name so when you hear PPL (pre-paid legal) or IDT (Identity Theft Solutions), just hang up orwalk away!
