Incredible charges &unethical practices

I (senior citizen) called Gillece to clear a blocked sewer line in my home.
They told me the sewer line had to be replaced at a total cost of $16800.
They also "advised", me that I could easily get a home equity loan from one of their representatives.

They started work immediately digging a hole in my garage at which time I called my (Erie) insurance adjuster to see if they could help out with the costs.

The adjuster told me to make them stop working immediately and throw them out of my house. He said, he would send an underground camera team and bring 2 registered plumbers with him.

The first plumber gave me an estimate of $6400. The second plumber gave me an estimate of $3500 and would also install a new toilet & replace an old one. Of course I accepted.

I still had to pay Gillece $3500 for the 4x4 hole that they had dug in my garage. I was treated very fairly by my insurance company on all costs. Thany you Erie.
