Scams, loan modification, falsyfying documents

I received a phone call from a representative from Home Savers Center. They explained that they could help me save my home from foreclosure. After completing an application I waited a couple days. I was told by my bank that I do not make enough money to file for a loan modification, however the rep made me feel like there was something they could do for me. I received a phone call back from them telling me that I would need to charge one of my kids "rent" they further explained how I could put cash in my bank account and then take it out the next day. As long as it showed a deposit I would be able to use the income. And I would need to write up a rental agreement for my child. Here is the thing I don't charge my kid rent nor do they have a job to even help out. Isn't this fraud? Whats worse is this guy said he has had other people do it and it works just fine. After I did not return any of his calls I started getting phone calls from a different rep at different times of the day from different numbers, blocked numbers-leaving me messages telling me they are in the review department. Its obvious that they really are desparate to prey on people like myself. I can't afford to pay my mortgage, how am I going to pay you $3500. Should I ask my kids to come up with some money from their "jobs". Falsifying income and stated income seem to have been a problem in the past maybe this is the reason that we are in this situation across the nation. I hope no one gets scammed by these foreclosure avoidance companies. I may be lossing my home but I could be in a lot worse situation if I would have given this guy my money for a promise to save it.
