In Pigeon Forge Tenn CREDIT CARD DISCRIMINATION

We made reservations for timeshare tour with Grand Crowne resort for 3 nights at $138. Oo. They accepted our bank card for payment did not ask if it was major but accepted it and sent us a confirmation number with itenary. But then called 1 1/2 days before our arrival and then we was told that our Visa card was not good enough and did not qualify and we looked at a timeshare disclosure that was on their web page and it does say major credit card but no checkbook. And picture ID for identification.

We called representive back and ask questions and explained what we were reading to no avail. He told us that they would not accept our Visa card and that of we showed up we would be charge 450.00 for the 3 night stay. So we was forced to cancel and pay a $59.00 cancellation fee. Then we received email telling us that the left over balance was going to be applied back to our credit card which they say is not a credit card. If they have such a hang up on cards they should state that before giving you a confimation. Just because someone chooses not to have a major credit card they sign you up and then call and force you to cancel out later. Which in my opinion is a rip off! We didn't look it up and read it so I doubt anybody else will until they receive that cancellation call.
