Harry gate... If That's Your Real Name! Craig's list SCAM e-mail

I recently posted an item for sale on Craig's List... Nothing too fancy, just a mattress set. The first e-mail contact I received seemed pretty legitimate. Seemed like a man (Harry Gate) that was interested in bartering the price down a little. Of course, desperate to sell, I respond with a lower price.in the second e-mail, he said that he accepted my deal and wanted to purchase the mattress.

However, he never asked to come see it and he wanted shippers to come and pick it up. Not only that, but he wanted to send me the money through the mail. *RED FLAG* I have copied the coorespondence below. Read through it. If it sounds even vaguely familar to you than DO NOT RESPOND to the e-mail. Thankfully, I caught on before I gave him any of my personal info. If this ever happens to you, report it to the Federal Trade Commission. Www.ftc. Gov I hope this helps someone! =)
