Contractor Keeps Money, Stops Work on Home for Son with Asperger's

Current Status of Home Project to Build Addition for Son with Aspergers June

I signed a construction and remodeling agreement on 1/2/09 for a 360 square foot home addition with Home Design Solutions, (HDS), Jack Santarelli, owner and Anthony F Marino, (Tarelli Construction Services has same phone number with BBB). HDS is located at 4600 Highway 22, Suite 10, Mandeville, LA 70471, phone numbers 985-624-7801,985-966-4735 & 985-215-6726. The expected completion was 6-8 weeks. As of 6/12/09, I have spent $12,554.01 (1/3 of contract amount) and all I have is a frame with some dirt and a few pipes sticking out. After tracking down Anthony Marino, he advised that he is no longer with HDS and wishes me luck in getting my job completed or my money back. Anthony Marino has created a new company, Anthony Marino Homes, P.O. Box 131, Mandeville, LA 70471, phone number same as above, 985-966-4735. After being notified by Reliable Remodeler.com, the company that provided me with above named contractors, Jack Santarelli contacted me and advised that I can have my attorney contact him to cancel our contract but I should expect enormous legal fees and no refund.
