Did their best to ruin me and keep extra money they collected

A couple of years ago I had open heart surgery at Memorial hospital. Even with insurance I was barraged with bills from doctors all over Colorado. Memorial insisted immediate payment or they would turn us over to a collection agency. I was just out of the hospital and trying to heal at this point and did not have thousands of dollars to give them. I did start paying off bills as fast I could, but one of the tree bills received from Memorial hospital fell through the cracks. As such, it was turned over to Credit Services Company.

Credit Services Company then began harassing me with phone calls at all hours and letters weekly. I told them I could pay them a $100 a month and they told me no, they wanted it now. We had discussion for a period of time and in the mean time, I was laid off from my job and no longer had any money.

They then filed for a judgment against my wife and I. Why they went after my wife, I don't know. We showed up for court and were not allowed to present our side.in fact, we were not allowed to speak. We were finally called to a room with a lawyer and asked if we thought we owed $1100 and I said yes we did. He thanked us and we were lead out. A judgment went into effect.

I had gone back to work on a temporary basis and stared paying them $100 a month. After a few months the temporary job was over and in order to pay them I gave up my Diabetes and heart medicine. This went on for months until I reached the $1100 I owed. At that time I purchased medicine for the first time in months. Next thing I know, we get notice that they were garnishing my wife's paycheck for $400. Of course my wife was livid and demanded I clear this up. I pulled money from all of our bills and sent them a check For $401.50... They said I owed more than the court allowed them to take from my
wife..

They immediately cashed the check and continued to garnish my wife's wages. At this point they had taken over $800 and they no longer would talk to me. I finally got hold of their lawyer and he assured me he would take care of the problem. He didn't. I finally had to retain my own lawyer to get the excess payment back from them. More cost to me.

A company like this should not even be in business. They are crooked and part of a corrupt community that preys on people who can least afford it.
