This law firm was collecting from me for Capital One credit.
I was paying this firm $45/month. The next thing you know there's a lien on my checking account for $1200. When I called K & F (Kramer & Frank), they stated that I was suppose to call them to make arrangement to raise my payments.
Not realizing I was suppose to do this, I apologized and asked what I am suppose to be paying. They replied with $75/month, however they refused to release my checking account. They wanted the full amount with no payment arrangements.
I proceeded to go to the sheriff's office and file an 'exemption'. K & F had to release my account in 10 days. This hold however enable me to pay day care as well as other bills on time.
I continued to pay them $75/month.
They then proceeded to serve my employer and demand a garnishment on my wages. They have started taking $204/week from my wages. They also lied to my employer by telling them that I have not been making suffient payments.
This large garnishment is enabling me to pay bills such as student loans and daycare.
I recently filed a complaint with the better business bureau. They are currently investigating the situation. I suggest that anyone who is having problems with this company do the same!
