Failure to accept response on buyer complaint

Recently had a buyer file a dispute over a postcard that he had purchased thru ebay, paid with paypal, then decided to return it, as not as described.
Although I filed a response that question the buyer dispute, in that the buyer maintained the article came in a package other than what it was mailed in. Also question why the buyer would open a damage package containing a prize postcard he needed for his collection and that was left out on his porch for an extended period of time. Paypal refused to accept only my documents showing the incorrectness of the buyer on the type package the card was ship in and none of my email response on this issue. Paypal system timed out after 5 minutes, so I responded more quickly, yet they refuse to show any other type of response. Paypal was notified by this buyer that "I am Ebay busiest postcard buyer worldwide with over 16,000 of the finest feedback and get cards all over daily. I believe they lost my response, after all I have only sold 54 things on ebay.
