Hacked my checking/Visa account

This company somehow hacked my checking - Visa account. I did not sign up for anything, but several days after ordering a couple books online (through Amazon), a 49.95 charge appeared from HwPr that I didn't notice. Then a month later they tried taking out out the same amount twice in one day! That one I noticed.
I have nothing to do with acting, didn't sign up for any service, yet they and two other companies (CW Web, and Acai Berry diet pills) started charging my account.
I had to close my checking account, and now I have to go through changing bill pay account numbers and the like.
When my the fraud department of my bank called HwPr (with me on the line) they were very swift about saying they would refund my money and cancel the account I never opened... And my bank rep seemed to think problem solved... But they got my card number illegally!
