Danielle - willing to negotiate and took down the info - Monica Felix - hung up on me when I requested everything in writing

My neighbor has been receiving numerous calls, with them leaving call back numbers stating they were lawyers and needed to talk to me by the end of the day.

Danielle was handling the account, stating they were representing Capital One and they were going after the whole amount owed to Capital One.

The first thing I told her was for her to remove my neighbor phone numbers off of the account. Danielle went through the phone numbers she had on file and removed the erroneous ones. She was given my home phone number, which she stated was a fax number and they automatically took any fax numbers off the phone numbers. (side note: If they were serious about getting in touch with us they could have jotted down a quick note and sent it to the fax)

I told her I had just returned to work and my wife recently gotten laid off. She stated they were willing to work with payments and after a series of questions, she told me there were 5 red flag codes and she needed to turn the account over, seeing she didn't even know what one red flag code was.

Monica Felix got on the phone and told me Capital One (client) was starting legal action and will put liens on any and all checking and savings accounts, 401k, pension plans. She also stated they were going to take legal actions and the local cops would be showing up at my door if I did not pay the account.

When I stated I didn't receive anything form Nelson Watson Associates, that I didn't know who they were I requested she put this all in writing. With my account information, monies owed etc. She started to get annoy and stated a letter was sent out prior and I should have gotten it already with the information about the company. When I pushed her further for the letter, she stated it was sent out on May 8th (Friday). I spoke to her on May 12th (Tuesday). Which did not give me time to receive it.

I told her I would be in contact with Capital One to work out a "Hardship" payment plan, which she stated would go directly back to Nelson Watson, they were not interested and the amount was due in full.

I told her I would call her back after I hooked up a device to monitor our conversation, and since this call was being recorded on their end, please make sure it was available for my further review.

Monica Felice then stated "Obviously you are not interested in handling this matter and I am hanging up on you".

Then she hung up.
