Retail Services Rooms To Go ripoff consumer rip-off fraud

I Began my day by checking my balance of my bank statement online and notice a large amount of money had been drafted out of my account by an unknow company. The company drafted exactly $500.00 out my account on April 24. The check was supposely authorized by my fiance by check by phone on April 22.

We never authorized anyone to deduct any amount of that sort from our account. I searched for the next 3 days, starting with the bank that my account is held with and no one could give my any answers. The bank said, because the check was drafted and not are a check stolen out of my check book it was not their responsiblity and this was not consider check fraud.

My next options were to call the better business bureau after not be able to find a phone number or address on this company. My fiance was then talking to a co-worker 2 days later and found that she uses this company to pay her bill with Room To Go. He then imformed me of it and I proceed to investigate by using the memo # on the bottom of the check to see if someone had an account open in his name.

The account number did work and we found that the person used our account to pay their down payment as third-party payee and we are not allowed to get any information on the person or persons whoes name the account is in.

The customer service representative said that I could fax a copy of the check into them and they will call me back as soon as they could get some information on the situation. He didn't even want to give me his last name or the company address.

I did manager to get the city they were and I receive the rest of the information from the internet. I am very upset about this situation and someone at Retail Services will be resposable for someone else's comfort and our expense.
