Did not pay wages for employment, and did not return tools

I was employed by Jeff Doney the owner of Slap Shot painting and Taping in 2008. Jeff Doney suddenly failed to return any phone calls, and kept my tools and pay checks at a sum of $2200.00. I made many attempts to contact Jeff, yet I received no response until I filed with Small Claim Court Only then did he respond with a counter suite.

Today was his big day in court... And guess what; the man was a "no show". I was granted my claim, and consequently his counterclaim was dismissed with prejudice. Ref: Docket No. 24-1-09 Superior Court of Vermont 9:00am 4/28/09. Practice due diligence before engage in any type of contract with a company.
