None of certain sizes - general for womens' clothing

Why do you always buy hundreds of womens' clothing items size medium and small and few to none of large (14 or 16 or 18)? Just check your clearance items! They are almost all small and medium. Any time you do have large at clearance time, it's because it's and ugly fabric or style. What does this tell you? 1) You are buying too many small and medium! 2) You are buying too few large size clothing. Another thing: Require your manufacturers to conform to normal size standards!!! Clothing made in foreign countries is usually one to 3 sizes smaller than department store clothing in misses. I have seen articles of clothing marked medium in misses that wouldn't fit my 8 year old (skinny) granddaughters! If you are buying their clothing, why can't YOU set the standards? (Also, have your buyer approve of the material and style! Foreign made clothing is usually NOT what the average American would choose!) I feel that the quality of clothing at Kmart has generally gone down, although Kathy Ireland and others have stayed good.
