Magazine subscription renewal notices threatened to ruin my credit

I began receiving notices to renew my subscription to this magazine. My final notice said my credit would be affected if I did not remit payment. I called the number listed and used their check by phone automated system. I was subsequently charged the $17 and never received my magazine. Furthermore, and maybe coincidentally, my card that I used in this transaction was used in two fraudulent transactions in Jacksonville, FL. Do not use these guys to renew your subscription. I feel like an idiot. Buyer beware!
