After more discouragement coming from the Big 3 or is it 2

Madmax here again. I got a call on 4/20/08 from the guy I was suppose to team with again, he was testing out in Allentown, Pa. Granted you I don't have a job to go to but I'm a Nurse Aide in Ohio, I'm going to pursue that again. Make a long story short, I quit Werner today, felt good when I called driver placement and asked them "If you have no work for a SOLO driver in Michigan at. 26 cpm which was promised to me, how is it you have work for team drivers to drive at. 12 cpm when its all said and done?" Danielle knew what I was talking about as the line went quiet, at that point in time I told her that I wouldn't be making any money at that rate and I was terminating my employment, I just wanted to make sure that the guy I was teaming with was able to find another partner. I then looked at the team rate for a newby with Covenant, after tuition reimbursement of $125.00, they still start at. 34 cpm. I feel justified. I do believe you have to wait 6 months between companies, at least thats what USA truck told me? With slowed freight because of the big 3 I'm wondering how long the practice of training and getting cut loose will last. Is Werner the ONLY company that does it?! I just read in my newspaper GM is cutting 47,000 more jobs before the end of think some of them may wind up as trainee's? I'm out here...
