No Assistance For Hardship!

We are having the same problems that Christina has been experiencing with Countrywide. Since December when my husband hours were cut at his place of employment I called Countrywide to explain our situation and they customer service rep was very understanding. We faxed them a hardship letter and our financial information. That was in December. Since that time our financial information has been record incorrectly, each customer service rep has given us a different story. We have qualified 3 times, and not qualified 4 times.

On March 18 when I called to check status I was told we had been set-up in program that we could miss 3 payments and on the 4 month bring our loan current with $7800. I told her that made no sense to me because I though we were working with them to lower our payment, and how could we be put into a program and we had not received and paperwork! I told here we were no interested in that program and want to work with them to lower or payment. Now I have been told since we declined we were no longer eligible for any of their programs.

I have been calling them every day since April 1 because now my husband has been laid off from his job. They have told be to call back when he receives unemployment insurance. I will continue to call and write them everyday and document everything! How can the promote that they are willing to work with you during a hardship and due nothing but stress you out. No I'm deciding if I should pay next month mortgage or just send them what we can afford. They have received our tax payers monies with government bailout which means nothing to them!

Later this month April 27 they will become part of Bank of America. Maybe we will have better luck.
