Man i just find it hard to believe that a company like cr england can do all the things that they do, when started driving back in the beginning of the 80's i thought they were a great company. I seen their trucks all over the place, i wondered what it would be like to drive for them. I drove for different companies up until the early 90's and found a local company to drive for and I did that until i got laidoff,

So i put an app on-line with england and they called me to see if i could make it to their orientaton in salt lake, i couldn't make the first of the month but went to the one on the sixteenth, i greyhound it down to salt lake got there on sunday morning and waited for the shuttle to show up, a couple of hours later one did and there was seven other guys headed there too. I got to cr england main headquarters and thought i was impressive and went to check in and that's where things started getting interesting, the motel wasn't!

It was a dorm and one bathroom for how many others that were there. What was good for me is that i had a place to stay just a couple of miles from there. Monday, i went to the orientation and had no idea where i was to be or what class until one lady got me pointed in the right direction. I was told that i was to go through a refresher course and then i would go out on the road for 9 days that ended up being 3 months and i found out there in the class room that it would cost me 500.00 for the course i was not told that on the phone with the recruieter,

I came down there with the intention of going to work asap, not play romper room, i went out the second day for a drive and i was with six other guys in the truck and it came to my turn to drive i was a little rusty but did fine until the instructer was telling me that i am to drive the way cr england wants me to drive so i just did my thing and pulled over and let another guy take his turn. So things started to get even worse there so i decided to head for home, i felt that i have more than enough experience driving and i did'nt need to be treated like a dumb ass. It is one thing to prove that you can drive and one thing to go overboard just to drive for them!

I have no ill feelings towards them but i was not willing to go along with what they expected. I just think they need to treat their drivers better and be a good company! When i was sixteen i picked up an overdrive magazine and it had a fold out picture of a really nice yellow peterbuilt and it had a nice refer trailer with the cr england coat of arms on the side of it, man i thought it was the nicest truck out there and on the bottom it said [ The Pride of England! ] which is what i think they have lost or sold out to greed! Happy trails there cr england you were not for me!!!
