Paycheck Rip Offs

I went to work for Island Media Adversting the second week of March My position was to seek donations for the Rummi Childrens programing. After two weeks, I was layed off due to lack of funds.

The owner of the company David Phillips paid me for one week at the time of my lay off stating no hard feelings and how he wished he could keep me on. He informed me that I could pick up my final weeks pay the following week.

When I arrived at the company I was told that they now use a Payroll company that my check was put in the mail that morning.

I waited three working days and no check arrived in the mail. I have filed a complaint with the wage and labor board but as of yet have heard nothing.

This company and it senior management staff present themselves as honest hardworking people. THEY ARE NOT!!!

They cheat people out of there wages at every turn.

My best advice to you is to stay as far away from this company as possible. If I could I would press criminal charges, for what they are doing is nothing less than a criminal act.
