I was scammed by a door to door magazine offe

I had a man and a teenager come by on 12-1-08 selling magazine subscriptions. I had just had surgery that day and agreed to purchase 2 subscriptions. I have yet to receive any magazines and the checks were cashed long ago.

They highlighted on the receipts that it will be received within 120 days. I have read reports from other people that they have never received their magazines either. They at least had the wherewithall to cancel their checks right away. It's too late for me...
