After failing to sell our home in LA. Tried a short sale, still no go, GMAC then listed us as foreclosed while we and our attorney were working with them on a deed in lieu of, After 5 months of back and forth " its settled it's not settled" with GMAC attornies, GMAC sold our mortgage to Nationstar, and we had to start all over again, GMAC assured us and attorney that we had a deed in lieu of, Now we have had the same assurance with Nationstar three times, all on the phone when we ask for paper work the mortgage company plays ignorant, suddenly the same people you have talked to several times don't have a clue as to what you're talking about, one time in a week one "specialist" told us the house was going up for auction then another one called to say the deed in lieu of was a done deal, and "the other person was clueless" well it's NOT a done deal this month, and our attorney has told us to stop wasting our money on her as she can get no where with them. They are all a bunch of scam artists and the government needs to step up here and help protect the consumer.
