Ripped me off of thousands of dollars / L.A

This guy gave me this whole sob story and asked me to loan him thousands of dollars for various things such as his grandmothers meds, and for christmas gifts for his son, and even rented a car for him. I told him I couldn't really afford to give him the money I loaned him, because it was all I had, and yet he still would beg for it saying he needed to buy his sons' gifts, and that his grandmother was so sick and ailing and that the Chinese basketball team he was playing for over seas didn't pay him yet so he couldn't afford the meds. He promised that once he got paid he would pay me back.

He also asked if I would put a car in my name for him. I know that this was bad, but he would make you feel so sorry for him and empathize with him. So I put a range rover in my name for him, he got many tickets with the truck (I am now receiving letters from lawyers that say I owe the state of MD $2,876 in unpaid tickets that he got). I had to get the car repossessed because he never made any of the payments and I constantly had the bill collectors calling me about it. I never even drove the truck. And when I asked him if he was going to pay the remainder of the account, he said he was not paying for anything he didn't have.

I called his grandmothers house one day (which is where he stays when he is in Baltimore) and his aunt told me that he is known for doing this to a lot of people, he scams them and she said she was scared one day it would catch up to him.
